Hope everyone had a great long weekend! Its always so tough coming back to work. Since its still in the 90’s here in Florida and not feeling like fall at all. Anyways everyone needs an LBD! Easiest  breakfast recipe

1/2 cup of old fashioned oats

I ordered this top shop dress a few weeks a go, but finally got the chance to wear it to dinner at The Bay Restaurant in Santa Rosa Florida ! Such a cute quiet place to go to dinner if your in the 30A/ Destin area. My husband and I are always looking for those non touristy places and this was a great find.

Anyways, I am wearing size 6P in this dress equivalent to US 4 (topshop runs small so order up!) It also comes in black here,  blush here or solid here . So I also wanted to mention these block heels  (I actually think a shoe like these match better, but I was out walking so I opted for the lower heel!)  I am obsessed with these block heels and to think I almost didn’t get them! They are just so comfy and I find they go with everything.  I am using this purse thats a designer dupe.  Take a look at the real one here. I might need to order this color too! I use it so much!

I was inspired to shoot this look this past Sunday. I woke up and the air was less humid and it really made me get excited for fall! Its taken so much for me to not have my house already decorated for fall! I just ordered these cute pillow cases  and some of these pumpkins for my table. Also have you all gotten the new Bath and Body candles yet? AMAZING!

Anyways I am loving this turtleneck sweater for transitioning into fall. I think my favorite part is that it is longer in the back! I tried out plenty of OTK boots, but went with these because they are not too high and not too low, and affordable!

Some Fall Decor 🙂

First of all thank you for following and your support!! The last 6 months has probably been the most difficult I have been through and this blog has been a creative outlet and helped get me through it!!

For those of you that are new HI! I am Grace. Recently moved to Florida with my husband who is stationed here. After getting married in November, he was deployed in February, leaving me in Florida alone! The most difficult thing for me was being away from my family, I mean, I went to college 3 miles from home! I am far from an expert on this topic and barely know what it means to be a military wife, but just wanted to share some advice and tips for being on your own!! (yes I am 31, but as I said I went to school 3 miles from home, everyone did everything for me!)

1. Know where your fire extinguisher is… I set my toaster on fire the first week of deployment. Do not throw water in it. (I did that and broke my toaster) Just happy i didn’t burn the house down!! (Sorry Zach!)
2. Don’t count on others. EVERYONE says they will be there to help. When it comes down to it, everyone has their own lives too and is busy. Learn to make friends or get involved in the community. Not easy, for sure! Try to keep busy! Pinesandpalms kept me busy for sure and I was lucky my family and my husbands family came to visit:)
3. Be friendly with your neighbors and co workers. It helps to know people who have been around the area. They know the insider tips… like how to find a high schooler to mow your lawn!
4. Think twice about a pet. I love Kibbles, but she is so much work. I didn’t know what I was getting into at all! It just makes it hard to travel and go places! However, it was nice to have someone there all the time!
5. Plan things to look forward to! It helps.  I think i was able to see my family once a month, between flying to Boston, having them visit, or meeting up in Disney!

Adjusting to my husband being home means that I will have to go grocery shopping more often! But while he was gone, one of my favorite meals to make was turkey chilli! I usually make this Sunday to throw on salads for lunch for the week! Dinner consisted of Chick-fil-a!! LOL

Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Place turkey in the pot, and cook until evenly brown.
Pour water into the pot. Mix in tomatoes, black beans, and garlic. Season chili powder, paprika, oregano, cayenne pepper, cumin, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 30 minutes.
